A client of Insight Global is hiring a Protection & Controls Electrical Analysis Engineer for their team. This person will be responsible for:
Engineering Analysis in ETAP for plant electric power distribution systems (EPDS), ensuring regulatory compliance and managing AC/DC systems and components.
Oversee medium/low voltage and high-frequency AC systems, including switchgear, motor control centers, UPS, inverters, batteries, and more.
Prepare and maintain technical documents, including requirements, calculations, datasheets, drawings, diagrams, and specifications.
Ensure design bases comply with nuclear regulations (DOE, NRC, CNSC, ONR, IAEA) and industry standards (ANSI, ASME, IEEE, IEC, ISA, NEC, NEMA).
Ensure designs meet requirements for compliance, functionality, performance, qualification, safety, reliability, and cybersecurity.
Review and verify deliverables from GEH, engineering firms, and suppliers for accuracy and compliance.

Bachelors in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or equivalent technical degree
8+ years of experience with P&C design involving power generation grid connection, and or substation design
Experience with NERC/NPCC requirements
8+ years of experience in Electrical Analysis using tool such as ETAP, ASPEN, etc.
o Including work with Protective Relaying and Grid Interface Requirements
Strong knowledge and understanding of:
o NERC/NPCC Requirements
o IEC Requirements
Experience Developing:
o Electrical Protection settings for Digital Relays
o Configuration Files for protective relays. In particular (SEL, GE Multilin )
Master of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or Mathematics
Nuclear Power Experience
PEng Significant plus
