Job Description

A large software and gaming company is looking for a REMOTE (PST) Senior Marketing Manager. The Studio Marketing team connects users to those experiences via compelling marketing campaigns across in-game moments, platforms, and touchpoints in connection with 3rd party IP partners. This small but mighty team manages a high volume of content across multiple game titles that leverage entertainment IP.
Looking for a Senior Marketing Manager with deep mobile marketing expertise to build and execute go-to-market plans for Mobile games within a portfolio of titles, reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing. This role is focused on launching new titles and building sustain marketing strategies that advance the goal of disruptive innovation in mobile gaming. You’ll bring a strong command of the mobile landscape to drive distribution and acquisition strategy, while orchestrating high-impact brand moments that draw on world-class games and unique entertainment and technology partnerships. Day-to-day, you’ll manage and develop go-to-market plans in close collaboration with external IP partners and a broad internal cross-functional team - including heads of product management, mobile development, and analytics. Comfort & experience working with leadership positions both internally and externally is essential.
In this role you will
● Serve as the mobile marketing subject matter expert and lead for your title(s) - spanning traditional mobile marketing, paid media, funnel optimization, UA strategy, and a solid grasp of the underlying technology.
● Own end-to-end go-to-market plans for your assigned mobile game(s) and ongoing live service, driving alignment across internal and external stakeholders from strategy through launch and sustain ○ You will be expected to work closely with your production partner to hold shared services teams accountable for asset and campaign development
● Lead the creative development and campaign process - writing clear briefs, championing strong creative concepts, and guiding agency partners & internal teams from ideation through asset delivery
● Partner with Creative Director to establish campaign creative identity & assets - ensuring key themes are carried through all touchpoints
● Partner closely with game development and product to understand key features and product vision that translate into marketing tactics and campaign creative
● Build and maintain productive relationships with creative agencies, managing output and holding work to a high bar.
● Collaborate closely with product management, game development, paid media, analytics, partnerships and marketing leads to surface and act on opportunities for promotion and distribution
● Partner with game production and live ops teams on timing and deliverables for consumer facing features, events and promotions
● Develop and optimize mobile acquisition assets in tandem with larger campaign beats
● Present strategy, performance findings and recommendations to internal leadership and external partners with clarity and confidence
● Manage day to day communications & concept pitches with external partners

Required Skills & Experience

● 6+ years of mobile marketing and gaming live service experience, with meaningful time spent on gaming live service titles
● Proven track record owning a mobile title launch end to end - from strategy and briefing through execution and post-launch sustain
● Experience launching a new title (managing the campaign process from the ground up and carrying it through to fruition with strong results and learnings)
○ Deep understanding building and executing go to market plans that can be easily understood by multiple levels within the organization (your presentations & pitches should be concise and clear)
● Experience managing external creative agencies - including briefing, feedback cycles, and holding creative to a strategic vision
● A strong creative sensibility - you know how to speak the language of creatives, champion ideas worth fighting for, and push work beyond the obvious
● Prior experience marketing licensed entertainment IP - with an understanding of approval processes and relationship dynamics that come with it ○ Comfort navigating complex approval processes with internal and external creative stakeholders (eg brand, legal, licensor, internal leadership)
● Senior-level external partnership management - comfortable educating partners, pitching GTM plans and navigating feedback with diplomacy
○ Ability to speak to multiple audiences with a strong level of professionalism and agility - you should be able to tow the line between internal & external expectations (be an advocate for the company to the partner and vice-versa)
● Confidence presenting to executive leadership
● Strong operator and executor with exceptional planning and organizational skills & ability to work quickly and efficiently - you can handle multiple workstreams without dropping threads or losing sight of deadlines
● Demonstrable experience of being highly agile, collaborative and results-driven. You move fast, adapt readily, and bring people with you
● Experience collaborating with leadership across teams like product management, mobile development, paid media, analytics, partnerships, creative services, video production
● Ability to write tight strategic creative briefs that give teams and agencies actionable direction
● Comfort with data and analytics - you use numbers to inform strategy and optimization, not just report on it

● A passion for/understanding of entertainment with a strong understanding of pop culture and emerging trends
● Passion & interest in mobile games
● Experience developing and managing production schedules
● Extremely solutions-oriented with a hunger to learn, grow, and improve the processes around you - not just execute them.
● Understanding & familiarity of the following tools:

○ Miro
○ Google slides & sheets
