Job Description

As a Senior Cloud Engineer in the Cloud Infrastructure Engineering organization you will build the very foundation of our cloud ecosystem and enable streamlined application development on top of it. Youll work closely with our clients around the globe ensuring fast turn around of feature requests and bug fixes. You will develop capabilities that reduce engineering effort to provision, deploy, configure, update and repair activities during the lifecycle of an application, game or service running on our cloud infrastructure.

What We Do
We own the problem fields of secrets management, cloud identity management and internal authentication/authorization in the cloud on the scale of the whole company, driving Epics future in these fields and establishing standards for other teams to follow.

We maintain an extensive automation ecosystem and toolset around Hashicorp Vault, as well as APIs for AWS account management, SSO configuration in the cloud, certificate management, user and machine-to-machine authentication/authorization and user-facing CLIs that aid our users to work with our cloud infrastructure.

In this role, you will:
Work as part of Cloud Infrastructure Engineering - Tooling team that owns services like Hashicorp Vault, custom APIs for authentication and authorization, AWS account provisioning and lifecycle management, and certificate monitoring
Develop high quality, stable Go code for use in automation and internal customer facing APIs
Develop and maintain automation using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
Take part in the support rota providing support to customers on the services Cloud Infrastructure Engineering supports
Write and publish RFCs, High Level Designs and developer documentation
Design for privacy, security, compliance, high availability, performance and resilience across all web services and infrastructure capabilities

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering
In-depth experience in Golang
Experience with secrets management solutions Hashicorp Vault and AWS Secrets Manager
Extensive knowledge of AWS services, especially EKS, IAM, DynamoDB, Lambda, Organizations, EC2 and ELB
Strong understanding of Kubernetes in general and EKS specifically.
Understanding of authentication and authorization concepts and protocols (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML)
Experience with certificate management and knowledge of cryptography and encryption concepts
Experience using Terraform, ArgoCD and Github Actions
Good networking knowledge, particularly of networking in AWS
Strong communication and client centricity

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience writing Kubernetes operators
Experience with Azure and/or GCP
