Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Systems Engineer to help design, develop, and deliver the digital control systems that power and protect next‑generation nuclear reactors.
In this role, you’ll shape the control logic, safety systems, and automation technology used across advanced light-water, liquid-metal, and high‑temperature gas reactors. You’ll lead system design, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure our reactor systems meet the highest standards of safety, performance, and reliability.
This is a chance to work on high‑impact clean energy technology with a team building the future of advanced nuclear.

Design and develop I&C systems for safety‑related and non‑safety reactor systems
Build control logic, algorithms, and system models to achieve reliable and predictable performance
Create engineering documentation: requirements, specifications, diagrams, algorithms, and equipment configurations
Lead design phases from early FEED through conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design
Develop and maintain system diagrams (functional block diagrams, ladder logic, digital logic, networking schematics, wiring)
Build and analyze simulations using physics‑based and logic-based modeling tools
Select and integrate hardware/software platforms for safety-class and non-safety-class I&C systems
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, nuclear, and systems engineering teams to meet safety and reliability goals
Support procurement packages, supplier oversight, and technical evaluations
Review supplier design packages and support system testing (unit, integration, and factory acceptance testing)
Work directly with advanced DCS platforms, especially GE Vernova Mark VIe / ControlST
Ensure systems comply with nuclear regulatory, licensing, and quality standards
Contribute to a strong nuclear safety culture and mentor junior engineers
