Insight Global is seeking an HL7 Integration Specialist for a leading healthcare diagnostics organization. This consultant will support their ongoing integration of an acquired genetics testing company into the broader laboratory environment.
This individual will focus on validating, testing, and troubleshooting HL7 interfaces that support discrete genomics testing workflows. The ideal candidate brings strong experience working with HL7 ORM and ORU message types, lab information systems, interface testing, and healthcare data integrations.
Day-to-Day:
Support EDI and HL7 interfaces related to Labcorp–Invitae integrations
Assist with Genomics integration within the Invitae platform
Troubleshoot, test, and validate HL7 messages (v2.2–2.5)

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
• Experience or working knowledge of HL7 v2.2, v2.3, or v2.5.1, specifically ORM and ORU message types
• Lab Information Systems Background
• Experience creating, executing, and/or maintaining test plans and test scenarios for interface implementations
Healthcare background
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Med Tech background or experience working in a medical laboratory environment
• Experience with EDI interfaces
• Familiarity with interface monitoring tools
• Experience with data validation tools and processes
Prior exposure to regulated healthcare environments
