Job Description

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Perform blood draws and specimen collection following proper protocols
Verify patient identity and ensure accurate labeling of specimens
Prepare specimens for transport to the lab
Maintain cleanliness and organization of phlebotomy area
Provide excellent patient care and ensure comfort during procedures
Document procedures and update patient records in EHR

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Haves:
Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent
Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience in a clinical or hospital setting
Proficiency in venipuncture and capillary collection techniques
Knowledge of proper specimen labeling, handling, and transport
Ability to work with diverse patient populations

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Plusses:
Experience with EPIC- electronic health records (EHR) system
Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS)
