Job Description

A client is looking for an Associate Network & Systems Specialist to sit onsite in Nyack, NY. This person will be responsible for supporting network and systems technologies within a local district. This person will be working closely with customer end-users to maintain and improve the environment. They will be troubleshooting escalated tickets through ServiceNow that could require Google Workspace, AD, or O365 administration, diagnosing and resolving networking issues, or configuring routers, switches or VLANs. This person will also be contributing to projects to migrate, upgrade, and enhance systems throughout the district. This person will be working directly with faculty and students, so they must have a strong customer service background and excellent communication skills. This person needs to be comfortable with pay between $32-38/hr depending on experience.

Required Skills & Experience

5-7+ years of experience in technical support roles (10 years max) – someone driven to progress. Level 2 incidents
Strong background diagnosing and troubleshooting end-user systems and network incidents
Experience utilizing a ticketing system for incident prioritization and documentation
Hands-on networking experience in a Cisco environment, configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, and VLANs
Experience with O365 administration; assigning licenses, configuring services, setting up custom domains for emails, managing security, deploying updates.
Strong Active Directory administration experience with expertise in AD Manager and AD Users & Computers (ADUC)
Strong customer service skills and communication, with strong ability to build relationships
At least 1 certification in the Networking or Systems space
Leadership qualities – will be delegating work to lower-level team members, giving guidance, and dealing with escalations

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Google Workspace administration experience
Experience in the education industry
Administration experience with Crowdstrike or other endpoint protection products
Experience with VOIP/Unified communications
Experience with virtualization and storage
Experience with printer management to manage how the printer is connected to the network at the print server level
Experience packaging applications in Intune or SCCM
