Job Description

Arcom Digital, LLC., the leading manufacturer of Cable Television performance test equipment, has
an immediate opportunity for a Product Support Manager. General responsibilities include
assisting with all aspects of product development, assembly, test, and repair definition, and both
internal and external customer support of all Digital and RF Cable System monitoring products.
Project management, personnel leadership, and the ability to understand and diagnose analog and
digital circuit issues to component level is required. An understanding or experience with Linux OS,
Networking, and multi-paradigm programming is desired.

Position will be based at Arcom Digital’s main office, in East Syracuse, NY. The job will be 8:30am4:30pm M-Fr with standard expected benefits.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, with strong preference towards Electrical Engineering.
Past work experience in CATV or similar electronics based fields. Experience in the full production
life-cycle of new and existing products.

Product Development – Review proposed designs, test prototypes and communicate results to
Design Engineering. Coordinate field test samples. Catalyze product design adjustments and
improvements from bench and field test results, or other experiences. Direct internal and external
contract mechanical engineering regarding product development and improvement.
Manufacturing/Assembly - Define, document, implement, and support all process steps and
fixturing.
Engineering - Define and support Document Control. Develop/define product
specifications. Define, coordinate, and participate in product testing for Arcom, customers, and
various governing bodies.
Product Repair - Staff and oversee in-house component level product repair. Define and support
contract repair facilities.
Personnel development and leadership. Occasional customer and sales support travel. Remain
flexible to accept other projects and challenges as they arise.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Internal and External Customer Support – Train Sales Engineering and customers, and support
training efforts on correct operation. Develop user manuals. Participate virtually in customer
Touchpoint meetings and support both customer and Sales Engineering challenges. Work with
Design Engineering to develop improvements to support customer needs. Support Sales
Engineering with system and device troubleshooting.
