Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Equipment Engineer to work onsite in Spring Valley, NY. This person will be responsible for supporting electric utility projects on distribution automation devices. This person will be responsible for configuring, testing, and integrating this distribution automation devices. They will be responsible for utilizing their testing lab to develop and preform tests on automation devices and sensors to ensure their compliance with company specs This person will be working on collaboration with engineers and SCADA specialists to develop new systems and enhancements/updates to existing systems.

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of experience within utilities on equipment such as substations or distribution automation systems and devices
Hands on experience with OT systems (operational technology)
Strong capability to configure RTU's and RTAC's
Hands on experience working with relays, breakers, switches/isolators, surge arresters, meters, circuit breakers, capacitor banks, and reclosers
Ability to complete tests, configurations, and troubleshoots on electrical systems relative to utilities
Strong knowledge of DNP3 and IEEE protocols
Ability to collaborate with the team to prepare requirements for enhancements to existing systems and the development of new systems
Some programming experience
