Job Description

A large energy client is seeking an MCE Liftra Operator. This individual will be responsible for the maintenance, large component replacement, and repair of wind turbine generators throughout the US. Responsibilities include: troubleshooting complicated mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on variable pitch/variable speed turbines, helping in all areas of site preparation (coordination of labor and materials), documenting all work performed using computer-based service reporting procedures, and communicating site status to engineers, customers, and management.

Required Skills & Experience

HSD or GED minimum
4+ years of experience as a wind turbine technician OR minimum of 6 years of related experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, REN energy or similar field
Valid drivers license
Ability to handle repetitive weight ~ 50 lbs, ability to signal and rig loads of up to 100 tons, & ability and willingness to work and climb heights a minimum of 300 ft.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Active GWO certifications (BTT, ART, BST)
Bachelors degree in technical, electrical, or electronics field
Technical certifications in wind energy/electrical/electronics field
Ability to reach/understand electrical schematic drawings
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, procedures, and regulations
Experience with heavy equipment with a working knowledge of crane and rigging requirements
