Job Description

The Solar Loan Processor is charged with the management and processing of loan applications specifically for solar energy system installations. This position entails the review of financial documents, communication with clientele, coordination with sales and installation departments, and the assurance of accurate and timely loan disbursements. The ideal candidate shall possess meticulous attention to detail, a customer-centric approach, and demonstrable experience within either the solar or mortgage/consumer lending sectors.

Primary Responsibilities:
· Loan Application Review: Execute the comprehensive review of incoming solar loan applications to ascertain completeness, accuracy, and eligibility in accordance with stipulated program guidelines.
· Document Verification: Procure and authenticate requisite documentation, including but not limited to income statements, credit reports, property records, and identification.
· Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the loan processing lifecycle, addressing inquiries, and providing status updates.
· Regulatory Adherence: Ensure strict compliance of all loan processing activities with applicable federal, state, and corporate policies and regulations, such as the Truth in Lending Act and the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA).
· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage in close coordination with sales representatives, underwriters, installation coordinators, and third-party lenders to optimize the loan approval and disbursement process.
· Data Management and Integrity: Enter and maintain precise client and loan information within Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and loan processing software systems.
· Proactive Follow-Up: Diligently pursue outstanding documentation or pending matters to mitigate potential funding delays.
· Status Reporting: Generate and disseminate regular updates pertaining to pipeline reports and loan statuses to relevant internal stakeholders.
· Issue Resolution: Identify and remediate any discrepancies or impediments arising during the processing phase to facilitate seamless transaction closure.

Required Skills & Experience

· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in loan processing within the solar industry
· Familiarity with solar energy systems and diverse financing instruments, such as Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), leases, and loans.
· Exceptional communication and organizational proficiencies.
· Keen attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/loan processing platforms.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

· Associates or Bachelors degree is preferred.
· Prior experience with loan origination platforms such as Mosaic, Efin, or GoodLeap is a significant advantage.
