Job Description
One of Insight Global's clients is looking to hire for an Environmental, Health and Safety Coordinator in central/western New York. This individual will primarily be supporting an ongoing distribution/transmission/substation project and be helping out other large utilities projects within driving distance of the area. Due to being on the utilities side, individuals may also be asked to travel out of state for storm restoration support in other regions. The hours will be 6am - 4pm, Monday - Friday with some flexibility. This individual will be responsible for participating in the job planning process, ensuring that safe work standards are being followed, coordinating incident investigations, attending safety meetings and facilitating new hire trainings during the onboarding process.
The client will provide a company vehicle (for work use only) as well a company credit card for all business related expenses.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in construction EHS role; specifically on the utilities side (distribution/transmission/substation). Combination of that knowledge would be preferable.
- Experience in grounding, excavation and matting
- Strong communication skills; will be interfacing with client onsite to report daily or weekly
- Strong computer skills; ability to utilize different safety software including Riskonnect or SafetyCulture
- First Aid, CPR, AED and OSHA certified; OSHA500 preferred
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or EHS
- CHST or CUSP certification
- Rigging and crane certified (CIC)
- Transmission & Distribution (T&D) endorsement
