Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Human Resource Specialist for a mission driven nonprofit organization. This individual will support core HR functions including employee relations, recruiting, benefits administration, compliance, and HR operations. The role is a dual function position requiring strong administrative skills and hands on HR coordination, particularly around entry level recruiting and employee support. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid level HR professional looking to grow within a collaborative environment while being supported by an established HR team. The position begins as a contract with a planned transition to full time and offers long term career growth within a values driven organization.

Day to Day
• Support core HR operations across the organization
• Act as an HR Coordinator, recruiting for entry level Direct Support Professionals
• Assist with employee relations, grievances, investigations, and disciplinary meetings
• Administer FMLA, disability, and workers’ compensation cases
• Assist with benefits research, rollout, and administration (health, life, 401k)
• Support payroll-related tasks and coordination
• Help implement HR policies, procedures, and compliance initiatives
• Assist with performance management and appraisal processes
• Coordinate training and internal development programs
• Partner closely with HR Director, HR Generalist and Admin Assistant
• Help plan and support internal employee events

Required Skills & Experience

• 1–2+ years of Human Resources experience
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
• Strong administrative skills; ability to handle day to day HR admin tasks
• Experience with employee relations and disciplinary processes
• Exposure to FMLA, benefits administration, and compliance basics
• Basic recruiting experience
• High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and neutrality
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience supporting payroll processes
• SHRM certification
• Knowledge of HR systems/databases
• Nonprofit experience
• Experience planning or supporting internal employee events
