Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Power Distribution Engineer, specializing in power distribution and automation systems, to support a pharmaceutical client in the NYC metropolitan area. This employee will support a research and development campus and be responsible for administering the creation and monitoring of the site’s power distribution and automation strategies.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage primary and backup electrical power systems.
Oversee site automation systems like BMS, EMS, security, and fire alarms.
Support control systems for facility and utility operations.
Contribute to planning and documentation for capital projects.
Provide electrical and automation support for lab, facility, and infrastructure projects.
Assist with risk management areas including EHS, security, emergency response, and compliance.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's Degree
2+ years of electrical engineering experience in a regulated environment
Experience with Honeywell and Siemens PLCs
Experience with Building Management, Environmental monitoring software, and Human Machine Interfaces (BMS, EHS HMI)
Knowledge of test equipment and diagnostic instruments for automation and power distribution systems
Expertise in the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems specific to HVAC, purified water systems, chillers, boilers, steam, and facilities equipment
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience working in a pharmaceutical R&D environment
