Job Description
Seeking a Vice President, Business Architect to support a large-scale Finance Transformation initiative focused on modernizing finance operating models, accounting processes, and enterprise data flows. This individual will partner closely with Finance, Operations, and Technology stakeholders to assess current-state capabilities, design future-state business architecture, and drive adoption of new finance platforms and operating models.
The ideal candidate combines finance transformation expertise with strong business architecture and process optimization capabilities. They will play a key role in translating business requirements into scalable future-state solutions while ensuring alignment across finance operations, accounting functions, data governance, and enterprise reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and document current-state finance processes, data flows, controls, and operating models.
- Design future-state business capabilities and process architectures supporting finance transformation initiatives.
- Develop business process maps, operating models, and functional business requirements across finance domains.
- Support transformation efforts involving General Ledger, accounting engines, financial close, reconciliations, and enterprise reporting.
- Partner with Finance, Operations, and Technology teams to identify opportunities for optimization, standardization, automation, and control enhancement.
- Collaborate with technology teams to translate business requirements into functional solution designs.
- Support data governance and data quality efforts impacting financial reporting and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and requirements-gathering sessions across multiple business functions.
- Assist in change management and adoption activities related to finance transformation initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience supporting finance transformation, accounting transformation, or operating model redesign initiatives.
- Background within banking, financial services, or highly regulated environments preferred.
- Strong business architecture, process architecture, process improvement, or operational transformation experience.
- Understanding of financial data flows, general ledger concepts, accounting processes, reconciliation activities, and enterprise reporting.
- Knowledge of financial controls, data governance, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to bridge business and technology organizations and translate complex requirements into actionable solutions.
- Experience supporting ERP, finance platform, Oracle, SAP, or related transformation initiatives preferred.
