Technical Writer

Insight Global is looking for a Technical Writer to join the Know Your Customer Division of a large financial services firm. In this role, you will work with a technical writing lead on a documentation uplift and migration project. Daily your tasks will include, but are not limited to the following:
-Translate complex data into user friendly text.
-Create operating instructions, how-to manuals, assembly instructions to help technical support staff, consumers, and other users within a company or an industry.
-Gather information through research, statistical reports, and interviews with technical staff.
-Translate business specifications into user documentation.
-Create document flow diagrams; and develop and maintain user-training materials.
-Excellent technical writing skills and ability to review technical documents for grammar, content and style of writing.
-Demonstrated ability to document business processes and write detailed functional requirements.
-Ability to work under tight timeframes. Good organizational skills.

-5+ years of experience with Technical Writing
-Prior Confluence experience required
-Prior DITA (Darwin Information Typing Architecture) practical exposure required
-Prior Paligo or CCMS experience required
-Ability to Translate complex data into user friendly text.
-Create operating instructions, how-to manuals, assembly instructions to help technical support staff, consumers, and other users within a company or an industry
-Senior Candidates who we choose to interview will be asked to submit a writing sample. Sample should deliver:
-Conceptual information
-Procedural/task information
-Reference information
-All samples should be written for tech audiences (end-users and/or SEs)

-Prior Madcap Flare experience helpful
