Job Description

A financial services client is looking for a skilled Technical Program/Project Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in driving our digital strategy initiatives, developing architecture roadmaps, and delivering program plans. The ideal candidate will manage large-scale, strategic programs and lead the successful implementation of technology projects from start to finish. This role requires a blend of strong leadership, strategic thinking, business analysis experience, and understanding of the software development lifecycle to ensure alignment with our IT strategy and business goals.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree (degree in Information Technology, Computer Science a plus)
At least 10 years of experience in managing multiple medium-to-large complex technology programs and projects with the support of a cross-functional team
10 to 15+ years of experience in the financial industry preferred
Excellent organization and communication skills
Ability to call out issues and risks objectively and clearly
Demonstrate proficiency in project portfolio management, program management, executive-level presentation skills, and the implementation of continuous process improvement
Advanced knowledge of program management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall
Proven ability to manage a program in various stages of the project lifestyle from initiation through completion
Ability to transform program and strategic outcomes to project deliverables with defined key results
Ability to manage multiple moderate to complex tasks with aggressive timelines as well as meet changing requirements resulting from evolving business needs
Solid technical background with an understanding of software development, business analysis, and web technologies
Knowledge of project management tools including JIRA, Monday.com, Confluence
Basic understanding of IT infrastructure and IT systems design
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Agile Scrum Certification (SAFe or similar)
Financial services industry background/knowledge
