Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Mobile Designer who is skilled in quality engineering/testing. This candidate will be responsible to support a Native Component Development Project and support design and testing functionalities.
Responsibilities include:
Design and give user experience design advice across component development. UI Design specs and working within Figma to make sure design spec files are up to date for components being developed.
Testing and Defining tmobile component libraries used in Android and iOS applications. This includes both manual and automated testing to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of each component.
· Conduct in-depth testing of mobile UI components, custom controls, and reusable libraries to ensure they work across different devices, screen sizes, and operating system versions on both Android and iOS.
· Ensure components work consistently across both Android and iOS platforms. Test libraries to confirm that they function across different versions of each OS and across a wide range of mobile devices.
· Design and maintain automated tests using Appium, Espresso (for Android), XCUITest (for iOS), or other mobile testing frameworks to validate the functionality and integration of mobile components.
· Test mobile components' interactions, UI behaviors, and visual consistency to meet user interface design standards. Ensure the UI components align with the intended design in Figma or other design tools.
· Conduct performance testing on the mobile components to validate that they perform efficiently on different devices, operating systems, and under various load conditions. Identify bottlenecks and provide recommendations for optimization.
· Identify, document, and track defects or issues within the mobile component libraries. Work with the development team to prioritize and resolve these issues and ensure fixes are validated through regression testing.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and product managers, to ensure the mobile component libraries meet quality standards. Document test cases, test results, and any identified issues to maintain clear communication within the team.

Required Skills & Experience
· 5+ years of experience in a Design ir Quality Engineering (QE), with hands-on experience in mobile component testing for Android and iOS platforms.
· User experience design for design systems: working with Design Spec files in Figma and supporting UI functionality for component development
· Strong knowledge of mobile UI components, including custom controls, UI elements, and component libraries used in Android and iOS applications.
· Experience with Figma or other design tools for reviewing UI designs and ensuring mobile components align with design specifications.
· Proficiency with mobile testing frameworks such as Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, and JUnit for automated testing of mobile applications.
· Familiarity with mobile UI/UX standards and best practices, with the ability to test mobile components for visual consistency, usability, and performance.
· Strong experience in performance testing and optimization for mobile apps, ensuring components load and perform well on various devices and networks.
· Familiarity with Android Studio and Xcode for testing and debugging Android and iOS applications, respectively.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Familiarity with API testing for mobile apps, ensuring that mobile components integrate properly with backend services.
