Job Description

Looking for a Manager SCADA Distribution Engineering to join Electric Operations and support the design, improvement, implementation, and testing of the Computer Data Management system (CDMS). This section prepares equipment specifications, test procedures, operating guides, develop new device SCADA screens, tests new SCADA device communication, and outage management SCADA integrations, as well as performs analytics, studies and performance evaluation to support assets. As the use of SCADA technology is quickly expanding, this group seeks the technical and management expertise to supervise engineers and analysts who are responsible for the ongoing development of distribution CDMS system.

Responsibilities Include:

Work on automation and communication systems on projects ranging from distributed generation systems (Photovoltaic, battery, and CHP) to distribution equipment.
Design, implement, test, and commission the automation and communication for new SCADA equipment being deployed to support the operation of the electric power distribution system.
Develop procedures for testing and commissioning.
Comfortable software programming logical controllers and data concentrators.
Prepare and issues test procedures.
Prepare appropriations, purchased requisitions and submit new projects for a ruling.
Control center support during emergencies and scheduled installations.
Prepares equipment specifications, test procedures, capital budgets, develops schedules and cost estimates.
Perform various engineering studies, calculations, evaluations and develop various SCADA system performance criteria.
Support R&D projects cross functionally and with outside vendors.
Develop a proactive and customer-centric culture.

Required Skills & Experience

7+ years' experience with SCADA systems.
Background in Electrical Engineering.
Experience in the design, development, and testing of SCADA systems.
Experience programming SCADA for control center communication or remote devices.
Utility, power plant, refinery, or manufacturing background.
Familiarity with communication protocols used for SCADA, such as, DNP3 or Modbus.
Management experience.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science.

Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering

Management experience

Experience with GE, OSI, Schneider, Olstom, ABB, or Siemens based SCADA system
