Insight Global is seeking an Associate-level Fund Accountant for a 3-4 month contract role with the possibility of extensions and full time conversion. You will be a part of the finance team responsible for our client's Secondaries business. Since launching these funds two years ago, the business has seen unprecedented growth and success in fund raising. There have been new co-invested SMAs and new products getting stood up in Q2. This has created a capacity issue within the existing team. The goal of this position is to lift that burden by helping the team to review financial statement drafts from administrators, streamline processes, and a variety of other ad-hoc requests.
Compared to traditional PE funds, the Secondaries business is high volume in nature with over 90 positions. This requires a high volume of wire set ups, investor notices to review, and wire payments. Being someone who is detail oriented that takes pride in getting things right is key to success in this environment.
As the project evolves, you will also help the team to drive a variety of process improvements needed to scale beyond the initial growth phase. While there are some areas for process improvement identified, the leadership team is very open to innovation and strategic suggestions from the consultant stepping into this role.
