Job Description

As a Data Science Leaderwithin the spirits industry, you'll play a pivotal role in leveraging data to drive business growth and enhance customer experiences. Your expertise will shape strategic decisions, optimize processes, and uncover valuable insights. You'll build and lead a high-performing team of data scientists, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Cultivating a data-driven culture that encourages experimentation, continuous learning, and excellence is essential. Additionally, you'll establish and promote industry-specific standards and best practices for data science, ensuring consistency, quality, and impact of data science projects throughout the company. Your role will involve driving the development and delivery of advanced analytics projects tailored to the spirits industry. Applying machine learning, predictive modeling, and statistical techniques, you'll extract actionable insights related to flavor trends, consumer preferences, and market dynamics.



Collaborating strategically with business leaders, IT, and stakeholders, you'll identify opportunities for data science initiatives that support business objectives and drive value. Attracting, developing, and retaining top talent with expertise in Python, R, or Scala is crucial. You'll stay abreast of emerging data science technologies and methodologies, exploring new tools and techniques to enhance the organization's analytical capabilities. Lastly, you'll develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to the spirits industry, evaluating the effectiveness of data science initiatives and their impact on business outcomes. Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field

8+ years of experience in data science, with a proven track record of leading data science teams and delivering impactful analytics projects

Proficiency in data science tools and programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala.

Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform), big data technologies, and advanced analytics platforms.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
