Insight Global is looking for a Data Analyst to join one of their largest utility clients in the New York City Metropolitan area. This candidate will be joining the team for a one-year long extending contract with the potential to go permanent. This candidate will be joining the data science team and should have a strong background in data analytics, machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence (AI), and statistical modeling. The candidate should be heavily experienced with various database systems and have proficient knowledge in SQL, Python, and R.
On a day-to-day basis, this person will be designing, developing and implementing analytical solutions to support decisions the business has made. The candidate will be responsible for applying statistical and machine learning techniques to large datasets for predictive and prescriptive analysis. They will develop data pipelines and ETL processes for data ingestion and transformation, collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize data requirements, and build dashboards and reports using BI tools to present findings to stakeholders. Additionally, the candidate will write complex SQL queries and manage data in relational and NoSQL databases, create and maintain documentation for data processes, models, and tools, and continuously research and evaluate new tools and technologies in AI/ML and data analytics.

Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Engineering or related field.
5+ years of experience in data analytics or data science roles.
Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL.
Experience with ML/AI frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch.
Hands-on experience with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and data modeling.
Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
Utility / Power Systems experience.
Experience with Tableau, Power BI, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
