Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Insurance Administrator to manage
employee and individual insurance benefits, provide exceptional support, and ensure
compliance with New York State insurance regulations. The ideal candidate holds active New
York State Health, Life, and Accident Insurance licenses and has experience administering
employee benefits, processing enrollments, and working with insurance carriers.
Key Responsibilities
● Administer health, life, disability, dental, vision, and other employee benefit plans.
● Assist employees with benefit enrollments, changes, renewals, and terminations.
● Verify eligibility and maintain accurate insurance and benefits records.
● Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits-related questions and insurance
claims.
● Coordinate with insurance carriers, brokers, and third-party administrators to resolve
coverage issues.
● Prepare and process new business applications, renewals, and policy changes.
● Ensure compliance with New York State insurance regulations, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA,
and company policies.
● Maintain confidential employee and client information.
● Generate reports and reconcile billing discrepancies with insurance carriers.
● Educate clients and employees on available insurance products and benefit options.
● Support annual open enrollment activities and benefits communications.
● Maintain insurance licensing and complete all required continuing education.

Required Skills & Experience

Qualifications
● Active New York State Health, Life, and Accident Insurance License (required).
● Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in insurance administration, employee benefits, or
benefits management.
● Working knowledge of health, life, disability, dental, and vision insurance products.
● Experience working with employee benefits for small and mid-sized businesses
preferred.
● Familiarity with COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, and New York State insurance regulations.
● Experience using benefits administration systems, HRIS platforms, or insurance agency
management software.
● Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
● Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
