Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Account Executive Lead, specializing in the mergers and acquisitions space to join the service team of one of their top clients in the insurance space. The role involves managing a large book of business, consisting of approximately 35 accounts, with support from a Junior Account Executive (handling 1215 smaller accounts), an Account Manager, and third-party vendors for back office support. This person will act as a direct point of contact for clients from time of lead to renewal, receiving and developing new business leads and opportunities. The renewal cycle begins 150 days in advance, with key milestones at 120 days for vendor/carrier outreach, 75 days for deeper follow-ups, and 60 days for marketing execution. Client work includes travel (twice a month, with at least one annual in-person meeting per client), compliance tasks such as audits, monthly reporting, and collateral, as well as offering optional services beyond standard coverage. The role handles marketing, policy servicing, vendor negotiations, and renewal strategy. Additionally, the position is actively involved in M&A activities, with roughly one acquisition per month. Larger deals are escalated to a Diligence team, and new business is supported by a Placement team, while an Analytics team assists with deal analysis. M&A involvement includes pre-deal risk strategy and post-close servicing, requiring rapid policy consolidation and coverage expansion during M&A. The role involves selling renewal business to existing clients and additional lines of coverage where applicable, promoting other agency services through Producer Service Proposals, and providing analysis and recommendations on existing coverages. Responsibilities include selecting carriers for solicitation, negotiating benefits and premiums, responding to client inquiries regarding benefits and claims, and reviewing coverage contracts for accuracy. The position also manages and negotiates third-party vendor relationships and contracts on behalf of clients, oversees a dedicated service team, and serves as a technical expert to resolve complex issues. Additionally, the role involves mentoring and coaching departmental staff, creating new client sales opportunities, developing motivational action plans for personnel, collecting fees, reconciling and resolving outstanding balances within 60 days of invoicing, and ensuring compliance with agency management system data standards and integrity.
