Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a seasoned Security Engineer / Security Architect to support a large, global pharmaceutical client. This is a highly visible, governance-focused role within the Security IT organization, with a strong emphasis on security policies, standards, and threat modeling. The ideal candidate will be someone who can quickly assess the current security landscape, identify gaps or inconsistencies, and confidently recommend and document improvements. This role is very documentation- and governance-driven, requiring deep knowledge of security frameworks, policies, and standards across enterprise environments. Work closely with the Security IT team, with a primary focus on security governance, policies, and standards
Review existing security policies and standards, identify gaps or outdated practices, and write new or revise existing documentation Own and contribute to documentation related to:
-Incident Response
-Threat and Vulnerability Management
-Security Operations and Controls
This role will perform threat modeling on new and existing solutions, identifying risks and recommending mitigation strategies and take a “big-picture” view of the environment and proactively call out issues, inconsistencies, or areas of improvement. They will partner with internal stakeholders to ensure policies and standards align with business needs, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of work and minimal ramp-up time. Pay is around 60-65/hr.

Required Skills & Experience

-10–12+ years of experience as a Security Engineer and/or Security Architect
-Broad and deep knowledge across:
Security technology
Governance and risk
Industry frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, etc.)
-Recent, hands-on experience performing threat modeling
-Strong, recent experience developing, reviewing, and maintaining security governance documentation, including policies and standards
-Ability to clearly document and communicate complex security concepts
-Exposure to or working knowledge of AI-related security considerations

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Prior experience working in a pharmaceutical or highly regulated industry
