A partner of Insight Global is looking for a talented Clinical Documentation Specialist to join their team. The CDI specialist ensures the accuracy and integrity of clinical documentation by conducting concurrent reviews of inpatient records and collaborating with physicians to clarify diagnoses, procedures, and severity of illness. They initiate and follow up on CDI queries, validate documentation prior to discharge, and educate providers on documentation standards and coding requirements. The specialist demonstrates expertise in ICD-10 coding and DRG logic, reconciles case reviews, and maintains audit tracking systems. They input query outcomes into CDI software, communicate findings from chart audits, and exercise independent judgment to support compliance and organizational goals, while engaging primarily with internal teams.

- 2+ years of related clinical documentation specialist experience
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State is required
- Relevant certifications such as CCEDS, CCDS, CDIP, or CCS preferred
