Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Chiller Boiler Tender to operate, maintain, and repair low-pressure steam and hydronic boiler systems, along with large-scale chillers (100+ tons). This role supports residential, commercial, and industrial facilities and requires strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
Boiler Operations & Maintenance:
Operate and maintain low-pressure steam and hydronic boilers
Perform seasonal maintenance and routine operational checks
Troubleshoot boiler controls and black iron pipe fittings
Chiller Operations & Maintenance:
Operate and maintain heavy chiller equipment (100+ tons)
Conduct diagnostics and repairs to optimize system efficiency
Ensure compliance with EPA refrigerant handling regulations
General Maintenance & Repair:
Perform basic and emergency repairs on boilers, chillers, and mechanical systems
Use CMMS for work orders and maintenance tracking
Work with various piping materials, including black iron
Safety & Compliance:
Follow OSHA safety standards and site-specific regulations
Obtain Nassau County Hot Works Certification if not already certified

Required Skills & Experience
5–10 years of experience in boiler and chiller operations
Strong hands-on experience with low-pressure boiler systems
Experience with chillers over 100 tons
Familiarity with boiler controls and piping systems
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CMMS software
High school diploma or technical/trade school certification preferred
EPA Refrigerant Handling Certification
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Stationary Engineer’s License
Nassau County Hot Works Certification (or ability to obtain)
