We are currently seeking an Assistant Transportation Supervisor for a full time, direct hire opportunity that would work onsite in Albany NY. This individual will be responsible for helping with all things fleet related for this specific plant location including inbound and outbound logistics, supporting driver dispatch needs, and ensuring safety measures are being met. Ideally, we are seeking someone with a strong logistics/shipping background that has a passion for helping find ways to improve processes that can lead to cost savings on shipments and improve overall safety protocols around shipments. A crucial area of this role is interacting with over the road CDL drivers, so understanding DOT is a must along with having a good understanding of truck routing, miles, and hours when looking at loads. There is a schedular that oversees load and route planning, but this individual will be responsible for helping to ensure scheduling expectations align with fleet availability. This location primarily services the northeast states with no international freight. This is a full time, direct hire opportunity with an annual salary of $45-62k depending on experience.

Over 2 years experience of logistics or transportation management
Knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations
Knowledge of DOT and experienced interacting with CDL drivers
