Job Description

Insight Global’s client in Albany, NY is seeking a Data Analyst to support the deployment and release of analytics software, specifically focused on the Seeq application. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in automation and time-series data, particularly with experience in PI Historian systems. The analyst will play a key role in both the initial rollout and ongoing release management of Seeq-based data products.
Responsibilities:
• Lead data integration strategy for the Seeq application, with a focus on time-series data from machine-level sources.
• Develop data governance rules for remote agents and establish stewardship and monitoring practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the historian group, to bridge physical application data with analytics workflows.
• Design and document SDLC best practices for Seeq Data Products, including process flow diagrams and SOP sections.
• Serve as the Seeq SME for risk and impact assessments during system qualification and deployment phases.
• Provide operational support by developing advanced data products on Seeq and assisting citizen developers.
• Act as release manager post-deployment, overseeing the release process and ensuring quality and compliance.
• Work closely with vendors during the qualification of a SaaS system, contributing to analytics code development and SDLC alignment.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, with a strong understanding of automation and data acquisition systems.
• Experience working with time-series data and machine-level data sources.
• Growth-oriented mindset with a desire to explore new technologies and approaches.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Familiarity with PI Historian is highly preferred.
Background in release management is a plus, though this is not an ITL release manager role.
