Job Description

Direct the planning, procurement, inventory, receiving, and internal distribution operations in a manufacturing environment to ensure timely, cost-effective availability of materials that support production schedules and customer demands. Lead cross-functional collaboration to evolve material management strategies, optimize inventory turns, and enhance supply chain performance. Develop and refine systems, processes, and metrics that align material operations with corporate objectives for efficiency, profitability, and service excellence.

Oversee material requirements planning (MRP) and ensure the alignment of material availability with production schedules and sales forecasts.

2. Manage and approve high-dollar material purchases and long-lead procurement items.

3. Direct inventory control strategies to maintain optimal stock levels, minimize excess/obsolete inventory, and improve inventory accuracy.

4. Supervise receiving and internal logistics operations to ensure timely distribution to production lines and adherence to quality and safety standards.

5. Implement and maintain ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for material tracking, reporting, and planning; oversee data accuracy and system optimization

Required Skills & Experience

-Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related technical discipline (Masters degree preferred).

-Minimum of 8 years in material management within a manufacturing environment. Minimum of three years in supply management in a leadership or supervisory role.
