Were seeking a hands-on, results-driven Production Supervisor to lead a team of union hourly workers at our Tonawanda manufacturing facility. This role supports a high-impact initiative for a Fortune 100 company and plays a critical part in driving operational excellence, safety, and team performance across shifts.
Team Leadership: Supervise, coach, and motivate a crew of union hourly employees to meet daily production goals while fostering a respectful and collaborative work environment.
Shift Management: Oversee operations across assigned shifts, ensuring smooth handoffs, consistent output, and adherence to schedules.
Safety & Compliance: Enforce OSHA standards and company safety protocols. Conduct regular safety audits and lead incident investigations when necessary.
Production Oversight: Monitor workflow, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and implement process improvements to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
Quality Assurance: Ensure products meet quality standards through regular inspections and coordination with the QA team.
Labor Relations: Partner with HR and union representatives to maintain positive labor relations and resolve workforce issues proactively.
Training & Development: Support onboarding and cross-training of employees to build a flexible and skilled workforce.
Reporting & Metrics: Track production KPIs, maintain accurate shift reports, and communicate performance updates to leadership.
