Job Description

Operating as one of the world's largest energy delivery systems across clean energy, electric, gas and steam services.



The electric eGIS team has undertaken a project to replace the legacy mapping systems with ArcFM, Schneiders mapping platform. Looking for a QA/QC Specialist to support Phase 2 of the project and help alleviate the workload within the team and improve overall efficiency. You will be responsible for spatial analysis and queries to validate the accuracy of legacy mapping data that was migrated to an Esri mapping system. Responsibilities include; reviewing land base symmetry, connectivity at structures to ensure cable and transformer connectivity is intact, checking attribute data of all linear and point data features for Electric and Gas components, preforming map symbol updates and providing solutions as necessary. You will support system testing to ensure functionality of new mapping product and maintain organized primary database excel spreadsheet and other data. Looking for an individual who can prioritize data tasks and manage project timeline, as well as assist in additional eGIS needs that arise.

Required Skills & Experience

1+ years' experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), with familiarity in ESRI ArcGIS, ArcMap, ArcFM, QGIS, or similar

Experience in data analytics and data mapping, with the ability to run spatial and/or SQL queries.

Proficient in GIS digitization processes, vectorization, creating new layers and adding features.

Quick learner and ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.

Frontend analytical skills and ability to QA QC data sets

Bachelor's degree in related field

Python scripting

Utility industry experience
