A waste management company based out of New Jersey is looking for an Area Dispatch Manager to join their team for the New York City market. This market includes Brooklyn, the Bronx and Jersey City (overseeing Manhattan). You will have 20 indirect reports that are responsible for performing dispatch for the three depots mentioned above.
You will be responsible for being at a dedicated depot per week and if there is driving required between depots, you will be reimbursed for mileage and tolls. You will help lead all of the dispatchers to ensure smooth operations during all shifts. You will help the dispatchers understand how to use the software, ability to ensure on-time pick up and efficiencies and navigate road closures/accidents. Your communication with all dispatchers will allow for efficiencies and improvements to me made across all depots.
This is a permanent, NIGHT SHIFT positions as 90% of their commercial pickups happen late night to early morning hours. You will work 5-6 days a week including weekends. The base salary for this role is $185-205k dependent on experience and includes eligibility for a 20% bonus and full benefits.
