Job Description

The Operating Engineer is responsible for performing planned preventative maintenance on a large, HVAC intensive facility (hotel rooms, conference spaces, and shared public areas). This role focuses primarily on HVAC PMs, operating under a chief engineer. The engineer will work independently within a CMMS, developing procedures, executing LOTO, and other safety measures, ensuring maintenance is completed to documented standards. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–6:00 PM, with mandatory overtime driven by client and facility needs.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years (10 ideal) of HVAC-focused engineering experience in an industrial or commercial environment
Hands-on experience with HVAC PMs on cooling towers, AHUs, RTUs,
EPA certification (flexible for an all-star without cert)
Ability to work independently within a CMMS
Strong knowledge of compliance, safety, and documented maintenance procedures

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience supporting hotel, conference center, or mixed-use facilities
Expert with ATS or UPS maintenance
