Job Description
Insight Global is hiring a Civil Construction Inspector to support a federal contracting client in El Rancho, NM. The project includes 11 different disciplines totally to be over $1 billion in cost (pipeline inspections, building inspections, structural inspections, architectural inspections, vertical inspections, etc.). The inspector will be onsite daily, observing construction activities, verifying work is built according to plans and specifications, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Travel to the projects site in the Santa, Fe NM area is required (company truck and fuel card provided). Shifts are typically 4-10s Monday-Thursday with occasional Friday’s or weekends depending on project stance.
Key Responsibilities
-Observe daily construction activities and verify compliance with plans and specifications
-Inspect earthwork, concrete, piping, and environmental infrastructure installations
-Verify elevations, alignment, materials, and workmanship
-Monitor contractor safety compliance with OSHA and Reclamation standards
-Document field activities through inspection reports and photos
-Identify and report non‑conforming or unsafe work to federal staff
-Attend safety and construction meetings as needed Coordinate with contractors and federal personnel

Required Skills & Experience
-3+ years of heavy civil construction inspection experience
-Pipeline inspection experience
-Strong knowledge of earthwork and concrete construction
-Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
-Experience with QA/QC and material testing
-OSHA‑30 or RSHS 32‑Hour certification
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-First Aid, CPR, AED, and BBP certifications
-Experience completing federal construction reports
-Well rounded experience outside of civil construction
