Job Description

A large Oil and Gas customer of Insight Global is looking to hire a Maintenance SAP Planner in Carlsbad, NM.



This position supports operational and maintenance teams for oil/gas processing facilities and compressor stations by planning maintenance activities. This position is focused on utilizing manpower safely and effectively, maintaining company assets and their respective data bases efficiently, and minimizing process downtime; all while ensuring all work is compliant with company standards, procedures, and government requirements.



Key Responsibilities:

- Develops and recommends maintenance techniques/plans to ensure optimization of both down time and resources including MOC information, QA/QC needs, P&IDs and required skill crafts.

- In cooperation with Operations and Engineering develops the scope and purpose of equipment alterations, repairs, and new construction.

- Determines facilities and equipment in operating area that may require replacement and/or repair and recommends maintenance procedures to Operations Leadership.

- Reviews work order for proper authorization, priority of compliance maintenance, and accuracy.

- Determines craft skills needed for maintenance activity and estimates man hours, material, tools, and equipment needed.



This role is expected to be a 6+ month long contract with extensions likely. All travel expenses will be reimbursed.



Work Environment: Generally working in an office environment; however, may require visiting and walking around some gas processing sites, driving on rural roads, and other field locations, to acquire familiarity with facilities and gather data. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to cold outside weather conditions and flammable gas and liquids. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; acidic or caustic chemicals; and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

Required Skills & Experience

- 2-5 years of experience in oil and gas maintenance planning or operational data management in SAP.

- Experience creating assets, activity, and scheduling within a planning software such as Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) such as SAP

- Proficient in SAP responsibilities beyond basic work order creation

- Strong basic computer navigation

- Software program proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, One Note, and Outlook.

- Within SAP, need to have knowledge with Master Data, SAP MM or SAP Master Data and have the ability to manipulate master data as well as build maintenance plans, task lists, job plans, create WOs and POs in SAP or Prometheus

- Know how to build equipment within master data in SAP

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Knowledge of Oil and Gas Equipment and Documentation

- Experience with ERP maintenance planning or Meridiam desired.

- Familiarity with Prometheus or Fioria
