Job Description

Insight Global is recruiting for a top oil and gas client in need of an E&I Construction Specialist. You will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and execution of electrical and instrumentation systems within oil production well sites. Your expertise will contribute to the safe, efficient, and compliant installation of these critical systems.
Collaborating closely with a team of engineers, technicians, and other professionals, you will ensure that all work adheres to relevant regulations and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

1. System Planning and Design:
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop detailed plans for electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Ensure alignment with project objectives, safety guidelines, and operational requirements.

2. Construction Oversight:
- Supervise installation activities, including cable laying, equipment mounting, and wiring.
- Monitor progress, quality, and adherence to project schedules.

3. Safety and Compliance:
- Implement safety protocols and best practices during installation.
- Verify compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.

4. Collaboration:
- Work closely with engineers, technicians, and contractors to resolve technical challenges.
- Foster effective communication within the project team.

Required Skills & Experience

- Experience in electrical and instrumentation construction within the oil and gas industry
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (NEC, API, etc.).
- Needs to have NEC or NFPA70E or NFPA70
- Industrial experience (shipyards, plants, pipeline, oilfield, general construction)
- Licensing - state license
- Experience with anything lower than 4160vv

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Proficiency in system design software (AutoCAD, ETAP, etc.)
- CCER certificate.
- QA/QC
- API
- Familiarity with tankless production, central process facilities
- High/low pressure gas lift
