Job Description
A large Aerospace, manufacturing customer of Insight Global is looking to bring on a talented Design and Analysis Engineer. This engineer will have the opportunity to be a part of the start of a new team, and new program focusing on designing and testing advanced concepts for the DoD, and starting the path to a systems requirements review. This role is expected to be onsite 100% in Alburquerque, NM, and contracted to last 7 months.
This position will serve as the Lead Electronic Engineer for a team tasked with requirement definition, and design/develop/test of new electronic hardware solutions. The main responsibility of this position will be working with a multi-disciplined engineering team to decompose system level requirements to electronic subsystems/components.
Some day-to-day responsibilities will include:
• Develops and documents moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
• Designs hardware, software, firmware and interface specifications.
• Develops test plans to validate system designs against operational and functional requirements.
• Solves problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
• Research specific technology advances potential application to company business needs.
• Work with suppliers for board/electronics hardware prototyping and manufacturing.
• Mentoring entry-level and mid-career engineers in electronic design best practices.
Pay Range: $94/HR - $109/HR. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
• 5+ years of experience researching, developing, or evaluating electrical, electronic, computer, software and/or firmware requirements
• 5+ years of experience with the design, development, and integration of complex electronic systems or subsystems
• 5+ years of experience with analog and/or digital circuit design, packaging techniques, and/or power systems
• 3+ years of experience developing subsystem requirements
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with high speed, low latency electronic design
• Experience with firmware development
