Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a qualified Secret A/V Engineer in support of one of are large federal clients in Albuquerque, NM. This candidate will be supporting and be responsible for displaying and sharing information within the command center. This candidate will integrate hardware and software material that allows the command to display, distribute and select/prioritize what information is being presented to the command. Their day to day will include but is not limited to:

Defines, designs, and develops new audio/video distribution systems.
Evaluates current hardware/software limitations and designs systems for A/V compatibility, especially for Crestron, Extron, Barco, Jupiter, Biamp, etc.
Identifies technical requirements and standards for telecommunications, audio, and video systems.
Solves compatibility design issues.
Designs and integrates A/V systems.
Conducts independent investigations of A/V solutions.
Leads others without supervisory duties.
Trains staff on system repairs, operations, procedures, and troubleshooting.
Understands how to find and fix malfunctions.
Reads schematics and work plans.
Works well in a team as a Quality Team Member.
Writes installation and maintenance manuals with detailed drawings, test plans, and procedures.
Coordinates procurement of electrical components from vendors.
Collaborates with engineering staff.

Compensation:
$50.25/hr. to $64.90/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related IT field (7 years of experience in A/V system design/implementation in leu of degree)
3+ years of experience in A/V system design/implementation
Certified Crestron Programmer
Active DoD Security Clearance

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

MS in computer science, computer engineering or information systems
10 Years A/V system design and implementation experience
Military communications experience in a tactical environment
Active TS/SCI
