One of Insight Global's clients is looking to hire for a Business Development Manager to support their mechanical operations group in north New Jersey. This individual will be responsible for developing new commercial and industrial accounts for the mechanical services group to expand their project work. They will be prospecting new accounts/territories, cold calling, understanding client needs, working with prospective clients to understand facility equipment issues, providing pricing estimates and working with operations to deliver the service. The annual sales target is $1.5M per year with projects ranging from $10,000 to $1M.
The territory is around the I-95 corridor and candidates must be comfortable driving up to Newark and down to Central Jersey. They will be expected to work out of the office 2-3 days per week (which includes client site visits).

- 3+ YOE in a sales environment (mechanical or electrical/industrial equipment) OR previous field experience as a project manager or HVAC technician with a desire to make the change to sales
- Strong communication skills; written and verbal. Ability to connect with clients and follow up effectively
- Knowledge of CRM platforms; ideally Salesforce
- Comfortable traveling to client sites across the North Jersey area; own reliable transportation (car allowance provided)
