Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Freight & Transportation Manager to lead and optimize our domestic and international transportation operations. This newly created role is designed for a logistics professional with deep expertise in multi-modal freight management, vendor coordination, dispatch oversight, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day freight brokerage operations across multiple modes of transport
- Build and maintain a vetted, compliant carrier network
- Negotiate competitive rates and oversee quoting processes
- Utilize TMS and load board systems for load posting and tracking
- Support dispatch teams with routing, scheduling, and urgent load recovery
- Ensure regulatory compliance and proper documentation for all brokered loads
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients and vendors
- Track performance metrics and report brokerage results to leadership

Required Skills & Experience
Qualifications:
10+ years in freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation management
Strong knowledge of multi-modal freight and 3PL operations
Proficiency in TMS and load board systems (DAT, McLeod, Aljex, etc.)
TSA, HazMat, and OSHA certifications preferred
Excellent negotiation, leadership, and communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or related field
