Position Overview: We are seeking a Structural Engineer with 5+ years of experience to support the design and delivery of foundation and structural systems for infrastructure and renewable energy projects. You will collaborate with senior engineers and contribute to projects from concept through construction, focusing on structural design for solar tracker systems, equipment pads, and site development structures.
Key Responsibilities:
Structural Design & Engineering:
Perform structural calculations and apply site-specific conditions.
Interpret geotechnical reports for foundation design.
Support structural remediation based on field observations.
Drawing Production & Documentation:
Prepare construction drawings and structural details using AutoCAD.
Contribute to general notes, specifications, and milestone submittals.
Develop signed/stamped structural calculation packages.
Field Coordination & Support:
Assist with site walkdowns and field data collection.
Observe load testing and document performance.
Coordinate with construction teams on as-built conditions.
Team Collaboration & Growth:
Work with internal teams for integrated design.
Attend design meetings and client calls.
Receive mentorship and participate in development reviews.
Senior Structural Engineer Responsibilities:
Lead structural design for complex projects.
Mentor junior engineers and review their work.
Conduct structural assessments and develop solutions.
Project Management:
Assist in managing project scope, schedule, and budget.
Coordinate with clients and stakeholders.
Monitor project progress and mitigate risks.
Proposal Writing:
Contribute to technical proposals and bid documents.
Identify new project opportunities.
Develop project scopes, budgets, and timelines.
Other Areas of Focus:
Analyze structures for wind, snow, and seismic loads.
Design deep and shallow foundations.
Detail framing systems in various materials.
Support construction with change orders and field questions.

Professional Engineer (PE) license or Structural Engineer (SE) certification, or expertise in Solar/Renewable Structural projects
Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
5+ years of experience in structural design, with exposure to foundation engineering, energy, or infrastructure projects.
2+ years in solar PV or renewable energy projects
Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with structural software (e.g., RISA, RAM, STAAD)
Working knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI standards.
Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and willingness to learn.
Willingness to travel (1015%) for occasional site visits or field support.
Business Development experience or a book of business
Masters degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Experience with Revit
