Job Description
The Material Master Data Coordinator supports the end-to-end material master data lifecycle for assigned business units, plants, and/or regions. This role executes material master data requests and supports data quality across ERP/MDM platforms to enable planning, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, finance, and commercial execution.
The Coordinator partners with process owners and IT to follow master data standards, business rules, and controls; helps manage intake and throughput for incoming requests; and maintains required process documentation and stakeholder communication.
This is a hands-on Coordinator role focuses on accurate and timely execution of material master data changes in SAP, adherence to standard processes, and continuous improvement through issue identification and collaboration.
• Execute material master data creation, extension, updates, and discontinuation across ERP/MDM systems; accurately process complex and critical changes with appropriate review and approvals.
• Apply global/local material standards (naming conventions, attribute definitions, UoM, packaging, planning/MRP parameters, procurement types, compliance and regulatory fields) and flag gaps or exceptions for review.
• Perform data quality checks (validation rules, mandatory attributes, duplicate prevention) and participate in periodic audits; document defects, support root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions as assigned.
• Support master data workflows and SLAs, including intake, approvals, testing/validation, release, and audit documentation; provide status updates and escalate risks or blockers as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Procurement, Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, Commercial, IT) to clarify request requirements and ensure correct data setup.
• Support ERP/MDM initiatives (rollouts, migrations, acquisitions/divestitures) through data cleansing, load validation, cutover/hypercare support, and defect triage.
• Maintain SOPs and work instructions as assigned; participate in training and knowledge transfer; suggest automation and continuous improvement opportunities.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Analytics, or equivalent experience.
• Beginner
• knowledge of SAP.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to follow defined standards and controls, and disciplined documentation practices; capable of communicating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience supporting a master data function (ticket intake, SLAs, stakeholder communications, and escalations).
• Strong ERP/MDM experience (e.g., SAP MM/MDG, S/4HANA, Oracle) including workflow, roles/authorizations, and change control.
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and tooling (e.g., data catalogs, data quality monitoring, workflow tools, ticketing systems such as ServiceNow/Jira).
• Experience supporting major programs (ERP go-lives, cutovers, migrations, acquisitions) including data conversion and reconciliation.
• Experience operating in controlled environments (SOX, GMP, FDA/EMA/ISO as applicable) with strong understanding of audit and traceability expectations.
• Analytics and automation skills (advanced Excel, Power BI, SQL, Power Query, or scripting) to monitor data quality and streamline work.
