Job Description

Insight Global is hiring an Epic Project Manager for one of our Healthcare clients in North Jersey. The Epic Project Manager begins the day by reviewing the current status of deliverables and any outstanding issues. They check in with team members to gather updates and offer guidance on blockers. Coordination with Epic representatives and internal stakeholders is ongoing, ensuring alignment on system functionality and timelines. Throughout the day, they may participate in workflow design sessions, troubleshoot technical issues, and prepare for weekly meetings. Communication is continuous—whether through emails, calls, or meetings—to maintain momentum and clarity across the team. They also monitor progress against milestones and ensure documentation is up to date. The day ends with a recap of accomplishments and planning for the next steps. Epic PM act as support contacts for their areas, troubleshoot issues, and guide workflow design. They build and test the system and analyze technical challenges. They serve as liaisons between organizational needs and Epic staff, maintain regular communication with Epic representatives, and participate in weekly project meetings. They ensure the system meets business needs and timelines, understand operational workflows, support training, and review project status with leadership. Weekly communications cover deliverables, issues, user concerns, budget, and milestones. They maintain scope, schedule, and quality within their assigned domain. Expectations are clearly defined for each project phase. Collaboration with the project director and other managers ensures alignment across activities. They engage the business community, coach team members, and reinforce the project’s importance alongside executives. They organize internal resources, motivate the team, match skills to responsibilities, and manage both strategic and detailed aspects of the project. Adaptability and flexibility in response to changing business needs. Critical thinking to evaluate ideas from multiple angles. Dependability in owning and completing tasks accurately and efficiently. Initiative to identify and pursue tasks proactively. Strong interpersonal skills for clear communication with leadership and subject matter experts. A commitment to learning new systems. Active listening to ensure accurate understanding. Problem-solving through logical analysis and resolution planning. Relationship building to foster trust with Epic counterparts. Resilience to perform under pressure and overcome obstacles.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree, any field
Healthcare experience required
Project Management experience required
Minimum 5 years of Epic experience required specifically implementation
PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification
Complete assigned EPIC Certification(s) and/or training within 90 days of employment
