Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to support the implementation of a large-scale Enterprise Data Management (EDM) platform for a Market Data organization within a leading financial services institution. This individual will serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, internal data engineering teams, and a third-party platform implementation vendor to ensure business, functional, and technical requirements are accurately defined, documented, and delivered.

Key Responsibilities

Partner directly with Market Data business users to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, data workflows, and operational processes.
Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and requirements sessions across multiple business and technology teams.
Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical requirements, user stories, process flows, data mappings, and acceptance criteria.
Act as the primary point of coordination between internal stakeholders and the third-party EDM platform vendor responsible for implementing the solution.
Work closely with internal Data Engineering teams that are responsible for sourcing, aggregating, transforming, and delivering market data into the new platform.
Ensure alignment between upstream data pipelines, business requirements, and downstream platform configuration activities.
Support data mapping, metadata definitions, data lineage documentation, and data governance activities.
Coordinate testing efforts, including System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and validate solutions against documented requirements.
Identify and manage project risks, requirement gaps, dependencies, and implementation issues.
Provide regular project updates and status reporting to business and technology leadership.

Required Skills & Experience

- 4–7 years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst within a banking or financial institution
- Prior experience working with Market Data feeds (e.g. Bloomberg, S&P, FactSet, Moody’s, S&P, Blackrock, LSEG Refinitiv, etc.)
- Experience having support a large Enterprise Data Management project working with a 3rd party vendor
- Ability to understand requirements and consolidate business requirements, datafeed use, ingestion processes, where data is used, fields requirements, historical data requirement, data quality rules, etc
- Experience working directly with data engineering and technical teams to transform and modernize the data for project needs
- SQL Querying ability to pull data from databases
- Microsoft technical environement background (mainly Azure Cloud)
