Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Financial analyst to support the academic, research, and clinical missions of a Rutgers NJMS Medicine Administration department by serving as a key financial partner to departmental leadership and faculty. This role focuses on financial analysis, budgeting, and pre‑ and post‑award grant administration, including analyzing clinical and financial data, preparing comprehensive reports, monitoring current and projected financial performance, identifying trends, and recommending cost‑saving and revenue‑enhancing strategies. The administrator collaborates with faculty on grant proposal development and submission, prepares accurate project budgets, supports the annual departmental budget, completes monthly P&L statements, and prepares reconciliations and projections for unrestricted, restricted, gift, and grant accounts. Additional responsibilities include reviewing expenditures for funding availability and strategic alignment, processing and reconciling financial transactions and payroll, distributing effort certification reports, maintaining compliant financial records, recommending process improvements, supporting policy and procedure development, and assisting with special projects in a highly regulated academic healthcare environment.

Required Skills & Experience

Must Haves:
• Bachelor's Degree **business, finance or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of financial experience
• Advanced MS Office skills
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
