· Design new and modernize existing applications in support of the Actuarial Transformation initiative
· Work with development teams and product owners/managers to build software solutions.
· Implement solutions using AWS cloud services.
· Write effective APIs.
· Work with large volumes of data in both relational and No SQL databases.
· Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.
· Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
· Create security and data protection settings
· Write technical documentation
· Work with actuaries and analysts to elicit requirements for software development.

· College Degree with one of the following preferred majors: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, or relevant field.
· A strong understanding of Object-Oriented design concepts, data structures, and algorithms
· Practical coding experience, with a strong preference in Python, Pyspark, Java, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)
· Strong knowledge of developing Restful Services and APIs utilizing Python or Java. · Strong knowledge of the AWS Cloud ecosystem and Lambda Services
· Fundamental knowledge using SQL
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills
· An analytical mind with a willingness to learn
