Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain the Department of Medicines website in alignment with Rutgers University brand guidelines and accessibility standards.
Work in close collaboration with Rutgers Communications who maintain the University Websites.
Collaborate with departmental leadership, faculty, and staff to ensure content is up to date, accurate, and aligned with strategic priorities.
Design intuitive, engaging, and responsive web layouts optimized for both desktop and mobile platforms.
Meet with faculty members and help develop individual faculty profiles
Ensure compliance with Rutgers IT policies, WCAG accessibility standards, and relevant HIPAA guidelines where applicable.
Assist with the integration of multimedia content including videos, research spotlights, faculty profiles, and upcoming events.
Provide support for special digital projects such as newsletters, event microsites, and web-based resource hubs.
Audit and optimize the existing LinkedIn page for the Department of Medicine to align with Rutgers branding and tone.
Develop and implement a LinkedIn content strategy that highlights departmental achievements, research, events, faculty spotlights, and educational programs.
Design and schedule regular posts (24 per week), including graphics, articles, videos, and announcements.
Track performance metrics (engagement, reach, follower growth) and adjust strategy accordingly.
Promote faculty publications, grants, honors, and speaking engagements.
Stay informed on LinkedIn best practices and trends in higher education and academic medicine marketing.
Serve as liaison to Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) web and IT teams for cross-functional projects and compliance initiatives.
