The Specialized Finance Manager provides seasoned specialized knowledge, advice and/or guidance to various stakeholders and team members in a specialized finance function or discipline.
The U.S. Specialty & Technical Accounting group is responsible for ensuring that U.S. financial results are prepared in accordance with U.S. GAAP and regulatory requirements. This involves providing financial accounting advisory support to the Business units and Corporate areas on emerging changes to U.S. GAAP, new initiatives, and complex transactions.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing timely and accurate technical accounting advisory services to stakeholders (including lines of business, Credit, Treasury, etc.) and identifying and communicating the impacts of new U.S. GAAP accounting standards and the Bank's accounting policies. This position offers excellent exposure to a diverse and talented team of controllership professionals who support a broad array of the Bank's businesses and products.

-Essential to the success of this position is an individual with an in-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and strong analytical and communication skills who can provide decision support on various topics impacting the banking industry;
-The ideal candidate will be a CPA with 5-7+ years public/private accounting mix with accounting policy or other technical accounting experience;
-U.S. GAAP financial instruments and consolidation assessment experience is desired;
-The individual must possess excellent interpersonal and client service skills as well as have the ability to work very closely and confidently with many different levels of management on the business side;
-Proven ability to engage collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, both internally and externally, including senior management;
-Strong organizational skills;
-Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
