Our client is seeking a Project Analyst to support financial forecasting and analysis projects. The Project Analyst will work closely with program or project managers to ensure accurate and timely financial projections and reporting. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills and experience in financial forecasting within the banking sector. The Analyst will play a vital part in helping banks make informed decisions, manage risks, and strategically plan for the future. Their work supports the overall financial health and stability of the institution.
Additional Responsibilities include:
Support Program/Project Managers: Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of financial forecasting projects. Ensure alignment with project goals and financial objectives.
Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis to support forecasting activities. Analyze historical data and trends to develop accurate financial projections.
Forecasting Models: Develop and maintain financial forecasting models. Ensure models are robust, accurate, and aligned with business requirements.
Data Management: Collect, validate, and manage financial data from various sources. Ensure data integrity and accuracy.
Reporting: Prepare and deliver financial reports and presentations to stakeholders, including executives and board members. Communicate financial insights and projections clearly and effectively.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with finance teams and other stakeholders to gather requirements and provide financial insights. Ensure all financial forecasts meet stakeholder needs.
Compliance Assurance: Monitor forecasting activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify and mitigate risks.
Risk Management: Identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor risk factors throughout the forecasting process and implement corrective actions as needed.
Performance Reporting: Generate detailed financial performance reports for stakeholders. Analyze financial data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance forecasting efficiency and effectiveness. Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes.
Project Forecasting: Manage project budgets and forecasts. Analyze budget variances and investigate reasons for overages. Provide general forecasting insights to ensure financial alignment with project goals.
Handle Investigations: Conduct investigations into budget discrepancies. Analyze and report on findings to ensure accurate financial tracking and compliance.

5-10 years experience as a Project Analyst in banking consecutively
4+ years experience in financial forecasting
Experience presenting to C suite/ executive leadership
Experience with Tools: Jira and Microsoft Project
Prior experience utilizing agile methodology
Experience with developing and maintain sophisticated financial forecasting models
